I have noticed an explosion of employment advertisements for “New Home Sales”, Is the market bad?

Question by eternal_enquirer: I have noticed an explosion of employment advertisements for “New Home Sales”, Is the market bad?
I’m confused as to why there are so many construction personnell being laid off but sales positions are being doubled – I would assume that they are desperate for sales – but are they setting up these salespeople for failure due to the lack of people purchasing?

Your thoughts… Please.

If there are any salespersons working with residential construction, I’d love to hear from you. How are things going? Will these new sales people be able to make a living?

Q&A: Does this song has to deal with world hostory related or like about the americas?

Question by steven t: Does this song has to deal with world hostory related or like about the americas?
“Let us be lovers we’ll marry our fortunes together”
“I’ve got some real estate here in my bag”
So we bought a pack of cigarettes and Mrs. Wagner pies
And we walked off to look for America

“Kathy,” I said as we boarded a Greyhound in Pittsburgh
“Michigan seems like a dream to me now”
It took me four days to hitchhike from Saginaw
I’ve gone to look for America

Laughing on the bus
Playing games with the faces
She said the man in the gabardine suit was a spy
I said “Be careful his bowtie is really a camera”

“Toss me a cigarette, I think there’s one in my raincoat”
“We smoked the last one an hour ago”
So I looked at the scenery, she read her magazine
And the moon rose over an open field

“Kathy, I’m lost,” I said, though I knew she was sleeping
I’m empty and aching and I don’t know why
Counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike
They’ve all gone to look for America
All gone to look for America
All gone to look for America

if it does can you help me explain each line what it means
thx

I don’t think it has much to do with history, but you can read about the song here …..

MS Excel Sheet Reference?

Question by jaicee4802: MS Excel Sheet Reference?
I need to create a worksheet (about real estate in general) considering the following:
- ALL available data is entered in Sheet 1 (“Florida”)
- Sheet 2 (from select data in Sheet 1) (“Tampa”)
- Sheet 3 (from select data in Sheet 1) (“Miami”)

I have an “identifier” for each row in the first column in Sheet 1 (ex: Site T-1, Site T-2, Site T-3, Site M-2, Site M-3, etc.)
Then, let’s say Sites T-1, T-2, and T-3 go to Sheet 2 (Tampa).
Sites M-2 and M-3 go to Sheet 3 (Miami).

I am continually adding and updating data in Sheet 1 (Florida) and then sort to re-organize the data. How do I make references in Sheet 2 (Tampa) and Sheet 3 (Miami) to Sheet 1 so that when I add/update/re-sort data in Sheet 1, the references stay consistent?

I hope I’ve explained this somewhat comprehensibly. Perhaps I should be using a database such as Access, but I’m limited in resources. Thanks so much in advance for your help!

There are two possible solutions that come to mind.

List your data like you do now in Sheet 1. Sheets 2 and 3 become unnecessary if you either create a Pivot table with your data in Sheet 1 or change your listing to a table.

When your data is in a table, there are drop-down boxes attached to your column headings and you make choices as to how you want to filter your records. Eg: If Miami is one of the column entries and you choose Miami for that column, all the records for Miami are presented. If you chose Tampa, then all of Tampa’s records would be shown. For each column you would have choices to further reduce the number of records shown…..just like a database but much easier to use.

A Pivot Table can automatically categorize all of your data “on the fly” depending on how you set it up. The Pivot Table can be on the same page as the data or on a separate page. Pivot Tables are very flexible and many different reports can be generated by them.

In order to show you what each would look like, a good sample of your data would be required because without it, details can’t be given with any accuracy.
