Best of GLAM Metal/Rock? Motley Crue vs Lizzy Borden?

Question by killer peaches bored tyrant: Best of GLAM Metal/Rock? Motley Crue vs Lizzy Borden?
Some may argue with my choices, and I’ll give them space to later in this. It’s my question, so suck it up.

Anyhow, one of the reasons I chose these two, is not only their impact in the 1980s, but the overall length of their careers. Where most of the GLAM scene are back packing groceries at the local Wal-Mart, or doing County Fair shows and really bad Reality TV, both of these bands are still turning out good albums, and good shows.

People can hate on the Crue, but only a blind chimp could deny how big their Crue Fests continue to be, and Lizzy is one of the Only GLAM bands with more than 2 albums that can be arguably said to have never released a bad album. We ain’t talking no Winger or Enuff Z’nuff, but bands that actually had substance under the flash.

Motley Crue:
“Dr Feelgood”

“Looks That Kill”

“Saints of Los Angeles”

Lizzy Borden
“Tomorrow Never Comes”

“Master of Disguise”

“Under Your Skin”

MQ- Who wins and why?
(Mind you I expect the Crue to largely dominate simply because most people are WAY more familiar with them than with Lizzy)

MQ2- Favorite Crue Song?
MQ3- Favorite Lizzy song?

MQ4- Top 5 Glam bands and albums
(and for the record, in this case GLAM is reffering to the Glam Metal and Rock of the 80s to present, not the Glam stuff that Bowie and Reed were doing in the 70s. Pretty obvious they have as much in common as “Emo” bands like Sunny day Real Estate have with “Pop Emo” like Fall Out Boy)

BQ- Now, since i know some like Karl want to call be a blue bellied idiot who wouldn’t know good glam if it kicked me in the family jewels… which 2 Glam bands do YOU think should be duking it out for the title?
Peaches Top 5 Glam Bands:
1) Lizzy Borden
-I think the darker overturns just work better for me, even if it’s hard to be all evil like with spandex and aquanet
2) Motley Crue
- My 3rd “Metal” band. After Iron Maiden and Metallica as a kid in the 80s. Think Dr Feelgood is one of the greatest GLAM albums of all time.
3) Crucified Barbara
- These chicks are more recent than most GLAM, but just utterly KILL

4) Saigon Kick
- Just way better than almost any other band out there at the time in GLAM. Didn’t write every song about sex and drugs.

5) Tora Tora
- Might have made it higher if they had ever released more than what… 2 albums? Some of the best total guitar playing ever in the genre, and some very mature songwriting for a Genre known for it’s superficiality.

Motley Crue Live is awesome for Studio work Lizzy Borden. Overall Crue by a hair because I like their energy.

MA: Motley Crue by a hair they bring a lot of energy to whatever they do.

MA: Kickstart my Heart
MA: We got the Power

MA:

~The Scorpions-Love at first sting

~White Snake-Slide in it

~Motley Crue-Shout at The Devil

~Skidrow-Skid Row

~Cinerella-Night songs or Heartbreak station really it’s Night songs is much better album but I love both.

MA:

Cinderella and Motley Crue but I think the concensus tends to be Crue are the masters of Glam.

Local SEO question-is it necessary to include the city name in your keywords?

Question by jspinx: Local SEO question-is it necessary to include the city name in your keywords?
if you want to target Los Angeles Real estate, is it necessary to include the “los angeles” part in your website when doing meta tags and keywords? Does google know where your website is?

Answer by Ben
This is a very good and important question you’ve asked.

Google can identify the country that your web hosting provider (e.g. Godaddy, or perhaps yourself) is from, and can look at your website’s TLD (e.g. .co.uk, .eu, etc.) but cannot get any more specific. If you specifically want to target Los Angeles, it is vital that you include that regularly throughout your website’s content, as well as in your Meta tags and title.
