Has anyone had experience with robert g allens books or the general idea?

Question by betty lou2010: Has anyone had experience with robert g allens books or the general idea?
I am a young person with no knowledge of real estate. I started becoming very interested in real estate investing. I have the potential with my job to save up 40,000 in 6 months in the summer to invest. I have been reading books like robert g allen’s “creating wealth”, william nickerson’s “how i turned 1,000 into five million in real estate”, and books of that sort. I have heard mixed messages of such ideas, but i am very motivated to succeed in real estate and am not so much focused on a certain author or mentor, but the ideas the teach. Has anyone had success in such teachings or in real estate investing and have any advice for me. where should i start?

welcome to the oddest world of business there is; and you may know that the US and
the world of real estate are at odds with each other–for numerous reasons.

I have read all those books and more. I was just an investor then and I rose to
broker [age] 10 yrs later.

I will tutor you for free.

Q&A: Has anyone taken any of the Rich Dad advanced training courses for Real Estate?

Question by Christo: Has anyone taken any of the Rich Dad advanced training courses for Real Estate?
I have taken the 2hr sales pitch presentation and the $ 495.00 3 day “Learn to Be Rich” course where they spend most of the class selling their advanced real estate courses ranging from foreclosures to wholesaling to tax liens & deeds, etc. There were some great gems of info laced in the sales pitch here and there.

Do the advanced courses give you specific, useable information or is it a very expensive sales pitch? Also is the “Real Estate Success Software” as impressive as it seems?

I would cut your losses on Rich Dad. I heard that they lack substance. You can go into the book store and read their books. You only find a few pearls of wisdom buried deep in each book. I don’t respect the Rich Dad series. Cut your losses.

Q&A: Has anyone been to the Rich Dad Poor Dad 3 Day Seminar?

Question by Blessed: Has anyone been to the Rich Dad Poor Dad 3 Day Seminar?
I went to the 1 day free seminar and was convinced to pay $ 495 for the 3 day seminar. Has anyone been successful from Robert Kiyosaki’s class? Has anyone paid the $ 17,000 to have a mentor come to their town and walk them through the “Real Estate” investing? I do believe that he gives you helpful information as far as credit and laws of real estate, but is this a scam or has anyone been scamed from this???

Best answer:

Answer by Net Advisor
No. Save your money. It’s not a “scam” – but there will be a lot of hype. Not worth it. With that $ 17,000 it sure could be better used toward as a down payment toward a house. ‘

Have a detail post history on Kiyosaki sometime in the last month or two. See post history add me to view.

Has anyone ever actually read or been taught real estate investing by Jason Loucks?

Question by thinkbig625: Has anyone ever actually read or been taught real estate investing by Jason Loucks?
I’m looking at this guys website(s) and I must say, as an internet marketer, he’s doing a good job. I can’t find any negative reviews about him, but then again everything written online seems to be by him. I’m just looking for anyone who’s actually read or heard his real estate “lessons”. I’d like to know if it was all garbage or is this guy legit? He has 2 courses, one is “The 7 day sell” and the other is “The Ultimate Foreclosure Manual” Anybody, positive or negative that can tell me more about his “course” would be appreciated.

I can’t say anything about this man or what he sells but those who came before him also made a good pitch and made lots of money–and guess at whose expense?

My advice would be to go to your library and pick up some of Robert Bruss’ books. He really was a straight shooter (now deceased if memory serves correctly). I learned a lot by reading his column in my local newpaper (syndicated nationally).

Anyone have a Business Law: Text and Cases 12th Edition by Clarkson, Miller, and Cross?

Question by Shawn of the dead: Anyone have a Business Law: Text and Cases 12th Edition by Clarkson, Miller, and Cross?
Hey! I’m taking a Business Law class, but to conserve money I had to purchase an older edition of the text book. Everything is the same except for the questions at the end of each chapter. I was wondering if anyone with the current 12th edition of the book would be kind enough to look at the below questions and let me know if they are the same. If not, would you be so kind as to type the replacement so I can do my HW! You will be a hero!

1) “The Caplans own a real estate lot…”
2) “Junior owes creditor Iba @1,000…”
3) “ABC Clothes, Inc…”
4) “In the following situations, certain events take place after the contracts are formed…”
5) “Heublein Inc…”
6) “In May 1996, O’Brien-Shiepe Funeral Home, Inc…”
9) “Kermit Johnson…”

Those keywords should be enough for you to identify the question, as those themselves stay the same throughout the editions. Thanks so much! Again, I was assigned #’s 1,2,3,4,5,6 and 9

Can anyone help me tell if these suits are real Gucci or not?

Question by Andrew H: Can anyone help me tell if these suits are real Gucci or not?
I picked up some suits at an estate sale along with some Calvin Klein & Ralph Lauren and other higher priced suits & ties, so I know they had money, however, just something about these 2 Gucci suits doesn’t sit right with me and I don’t wanna sell them to someone as real if in fact they are not. What botthers me about it is the size on the Black one’s jacket is just “XL” seems Gucci would of done better than that. The pants & Coat both have tags, the tags say “Gucci” then underneath “Made In Italy” the stitching doesn’t seem perfect on them however. The black pants have the size of 38 on the outside right above the left pocket on a small black tag. The grey pants don’t have a size on them anywhere. Everything is made 90% Poly 10% Span. I have a few pictures of each on my photobucket. If you’d take a look and tell me what you think, I’d be very grateful! This is the link (I hope) to my photobucket album.

http://s256.photobucket.com/albums/hh193/ahopkins321/Gucci/

The pants on the “Material Tag” have writing in I guess italian & English.

On the back of the tags there is a number, and I had heard once that Gucci put Serial Numbers on their clothes.. Just another hope that it could be real.. The number is

A norma di l. n.883-23/11/73

Does that mean anything?
If you think they are or aren’t Gucci could you tell me why please. I looked all over online for another outfit like this and I can’t find one, which confuses me even more.. Even if they were fake you’d think they’d be even more reproduced. So if you know why they are real, or fake for that matter, please tell me :)

They are Gucci. No stitching is ever perfect, even Gucci.
