Foster Rhode Island (RI) Real Estate Tour

www.fosterrirealestate.com Tour Foster, RI neighborhoods, condominium developments, subdivisions, schools, landmarks, recreational areas, and town offices. Foster, Rhode Island is located within the Narragansett Bay & Thames River?Watersheds. Foster’s historic man-made environment dates primarily from the mid-18th to the mid-19th Century; within that time frame, many houses and farms date to the years between 1760 and 1820. The villages which make up present-day Foster grew up around the flourishing local industries. Hopkins Mills was the first to develop in the early 1700′s. Foster Center, the present seat of government, developed later in the 18th Century, and it was here that the first Foster town meeting was held in 1781. The village of Clayville took form in the early 19th Century, as did Moosup Valley, North Foster, and Mount Vernon. Foster is rich in historic resources – houses, farmsteads, stone walls, roads, and mill ruins – and in the natural beauty of its setting – brooks, waterfalls, woods, swamps, and the plant and animal life they shelter. 812-foot Jerimoth Hill, the highest point in Rhode Island, is located in northwest Foster. Foster remains sparsely settled, with almost four-fifths of the town’s 52.2 square miles of land being hilly, and 88.2 percent of the land being forested. For other town tours visit http . Is Prince Edward Island “Canada’s Cape Cod”?

Question by Michael P in NJ: Is Prince Edward Island “Canada’s Cape Cod”?
After seeing several real estate listings on Canada’s smallest Province as a result of work research, PEI sounds very similar to Cape Cod, Massachusetts as a summer resort/vacation home place. Is this a fair characterization?

Best answer:

Answer by Ms Know It All
I have not been to Cape Cod, but it is true that PEI is a huge tourist destination and summer vacation place for lots of people.

Some of PEI is very rural and lovely, with farms, rolling gentle hills and beautiful seashore. Some of it is really touristy with theme parks, gift shops, motels, etc. Charlottetown is a nice small city with some interesting things to do.

I think there is more money in Cape Cod…. and the postcards etc that I have seen look more like Nova Scotia than PEI, but I could be wrong.
